My actual fungus of the day will have to be the first Fly Agaric that I have seen so far this season although I didn't have the camera so no dodgy photo! |

| | | Re: Fungus of the day! Nice one Stewy! Good to see that you've got some decent Ceps. This season (so far) most of mine have been dried. In some ways they can be better after drying, as I am sure you know.
I have a fungus that I found recently and that has stumped me. Must post some pics, but it looks like a black Cantharellus tubaeformis (Winter Chanterelle) or a sort of cross between Cantharellus tubaeformis and Craterellus cornucopioides. Odd, I will post some pics. |
