My find comes from a coniferous plantation forest on the Isle of Skye. The fungus was growing on dead wood (a spruce, I think) and the caps were about 7cm across. I was shown a similar fungus the previous weekend at Glenmore and told it is Angel Wings (Pleurocybella porrigens). Does that sound correct?   |

On today's foray with the Mushketeers, JP and Sally, in Bridle's Copse, Pamber Forest, Tadley, Hants these little fellas were much in evidence on the rotting Russula nigricans:
