Joined a fungal foray in part of Ruislip Woods yesterday afternoon. Among my favourites was Dog's Stinkhorn which was new to me + some wonderful troops of Clitocybe geotropa. |

Hericium erinaceus... 
....& H. cirrhatum on the Forest today   
Hydnellum spongiosipes & H. concrescens still hanging on too. |

Spotted several Amanita muscaria growing on a bank next to a busy road in the town centre yesterday. I've seen so many of these this year but it was nice to see such a late showing 
shame I didn't have my camera. |

Lovely specimen Jus ! believe they are fairly rare up here in the north - not seen one yet ... |

Have seen three of these over the past few weeks - all on sandy soil in mixed woodland. The only other time I have seen this was probably not far off 10 years ago - that time was in the spring. Very similar habitat though.

Gloeophyllum sepiarium; eventually got round to identifying this stunning mazegill. Picture taken on 18th Oct 2010. Interesting how many on line images show it growing in splits in fence posts. Not too common by all accounts and a first for me.
