And yet the New Forest along with the Crown Estate, Windsor, are the two main strongholds in England for this very rare bracket.

My one and only ring of Clitocybe geotropa is standing up well to the weather.

Nature's frozen larder! Found a great local spot for these beautiful mushrooms and it seems the last weeks cold spell kept them perfectly fresh and preserved.  |

I photographed scarlet elfcup at Sevenoaks Wildlife Reserve last Feb but wasn't entirely happy with the results. So I went back today to see if they were still there and have another go. I think these are an improvement on last year's efforts...
