The lawn is full of Honey fungus emerged overnight, they do seem everywhere this season - 30 ft away from oaks and hawthorns, but thats not bothered them!

Todays sightings included my first Chicken of the woods and some Shaggy Pholiota (not processed the pics yet)
Heres a few i put in the Gallery a few days a go from some recent trips out,
Orange Peel Fungus - Aleuria aurantia
Cauliflower fungus - Spirassis crispa
Amethyst deceiver - Laccaria amethystina |

| | | Re: Fungus of the day! nice helvellas! my fungus of the day was the L.saeva which they were selling at the market under the name 'blueleg buttons' for nearly £2 for 200g! not wild though so not really worthwhile  |
