| | | Slime for ID Please Hi
This looks to me like a slime mould, but I have been unable to find out what it is. Any ideas please?

| | | Re: Slime for ID Please Cor blimey, still nobody replied to you, they must all be stumped but I'm not.
Tell me, have any Unidentified Flying Objects landed in the vicinity recently and were little green men seen heading for the bushes ??
In other words, I think none of us has a clue on this one, but don't give up on us just yet.

| | | Re: Slime for ID Please That's a dam fine find and photo and has taken a bit of referencing,
the best i can do without microscopy is suggest a mature Tubifera ferruginosa. (see image for comparison).
Image from internet source.

| | | Re: Slime for ID Please JP,
Would I be right in assuming David's find is a few days more mature than the image you provided - if it is indeed the same species.

| | | Re: Slime for ID Please Your could be right about either or both points, it's just the best image match i could find on the net, with so little information available on the subject your ailien landing remains just as plausible

Tubifera ferruginosa looks good.
If I get the opportunity and it is still there I will look and see if I can spot the tube structure.
