Here you go David Ive just returned to the spot and picked you some Blushing Wood Mushrooms..Already for you in my fridge ..The biggest one was 9inch stem with a 8inch cap...all weighing in at just over 1lb 1/4..

Julie | I think that you may owe me one Julie - with those acutely pointed, upwardly angled scales plus the tapering stipe this is NOT Agaricus sylvaticus (or, if you really must Blushing Wood Mushroom - yuk !!!!)
But appears to be the 'rare / very rare' species Agaricus bohusii !!! It too reddens when cut or bruised.
Only recorded 54 times in the last 150 years !!!
Reported as edible but doubtful (due to rarity and reports of toxic effects !!)

It's only rare/very rare because all the collectors were unable to report the find from the hospital
