| | Come on! Have a go at my Russula! I know, I know. You'll all hate me for doing this, but I figured I might get a little closer to a positive identification for these brown Russulas  
They certainly look very distinctive, I tend to be wise with this genus and no assume, or even 'think' what it might be, but let's start the ball rolling!
There weren't many of them, but I spotted two groups. Growing with Birch, Oak and pine. Lots of bracken nearby. Taste and smell not distinctive at all.
All help and suggestions appreciated, along with words along the lines of 'Not a chance without microscopy'
