thin upturned grayish ID please

Hi all

Spotted this small sample a week or so ago.

The cap was thin and upturned - any ideas out there what this could be.?

The cap was about 4cm diameter -
stem about 5cm tall.

Very likely Coprinus lagopus.

Hi

Thanks for that - it has sent me along the right track - I have a had a look in the A-Z and to me it looks closer to the Coprinus Lagopides.

They are similar but C. lagopides is normally found on recently burnt ground. Its stem is hollow and normally has visible veil remnants. You can see these quite clearly in the A to Z Coprinus Lagopides.
