Unidentified fungi from pre WAB foray

Hi all

Over the bank holiday period I spent 3 days going over the planned routes for the WAB Clumber Park foray in October.

It was teeming with fungi , however, there were many unidentified here are a few.

1 Found on beech debris 30mm x 3mm



2 Found in moss under Lime 45mm x 25mm … Cortinarius??



3 Solitary species 65mm x 50mm growing in pine needles



4 Solitary species 35mm x 3mm in leaf litter



5 Growing with Beech and Birch 50mm x 30mm … Agaricus??



Any help much appreciated.

I can't wait until the big day and all those other eyes looking for fungi .. I may just take a nap

1. Is a Hemimycena (you can see the typically very arched-decurrent gills in the one at the front) but I can't tell you which one from the photo (however good the photo !)

2. I think is an Entoloma (something like Entoloma sinuatum ?) but looks immature - not a Cortinarius with those coloured gills [but I can see why you suggested that from the size / shape !]

3. I am intrigued with this one - I think that it's some kind of Tricholoma but have no idea which and can't find anything [British] in my books that it resembles.

4. Mycena ? leptocephala (slightly dry, thus pallid) - any nitrous smell to this one perhaps ?

5. Agaricus sp.

3 - is definitely interesting - if collected should go to Kew !

Hopefully I should have number 3 drying off. If so, I'll send it to Kew.

Number 4 was so small; it was difficult to discern any noticeable smell.
