| | | Parasol Mushroom - Macrolepiota procera Hey guys
I was so thrilled about finding these beauties today that I thought I'd share them with you. I think I've only ever seen one before and there were about 10 or so scattered around a large field. I'm very pleased with myself! |

Hey Nick, I took a leaf out of your book today and just photographed them rather than disturbing them and it felt really good! Can't say I'll do the same when the Bay Boletus and ceps are up though. |

| | | Re: Parasol Mushroom - Macrolepiota procera Yes. If you find specimens that happen to be maggot free, just melt an unhealthy amount of butter in there, add a little black pepper and just fill the frying pan with the whole parasol cap and fry it. Delish. I've also had them battered in tempura and possibly my favourite method is stuffing the young, bell shaped caps with various goodies! | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
