Yeah maybe. What I'd really like to find though is some nice juicy ceps and not go mistaking brown birch bolettes for ceps like I have done a few times in the past - what a nube.

LOL, I don't think I've done that one before! You need a nice little wood containing bracken, pine trees, oak trees and a bit of Birch. I found a few this weekend.

Thanks Nick, will have a think about likely locations. We've had a great day on the shores of Poole Harbour and it is so beautiful. We're so so lucky to live in such a great place.

Went back to the Parasol location today and got some more pics, and I succumbed to temptation and snapped one up. Have had a taste test and that went okay so it looks like Parasol for brekky. Hee hee

That's my baby in the hoodie, well I say baby, she's 11 now.

Anyway I think you're right about them being a bit old, the one we took is not looking quite so hot this morning so we'll pass on the mushroom breakfast. Never mind, there's always next time and I will get a more decent young specimen and not succumb to pressure to take the biggest if you know what I mean.
