David | I was responding to a put down.
Regarding the request to maintain links, I'm afraid I do not approve of the T&C of the web site, and hence I have no interest. Anyway I do not use the A-Z. |

| | | Re: Volvariella bombycina and others To get the thread back on course , lucky me.
Well i'm hopeing lucky me and someone will agree with Volvariella bombycina up a tree.
Had to remove coat, bag and any clutter to be able to climb adjacen trunk then reach out
for a poor single handed image of cap, without camera i could get enough grip to look into
knot hole and see the bag round stem, i could have pulled it out but that seemed unkind
and now realise i had seen this earlier in the year poking out from a less accesible knot
hole on opposite side, so hopefully by leaving it more will appear when i will call cybershot
with his selection of lenses to get better images. (well if he's interested)
Cheers J.P.

| | | Re: Volvariella bombycina and others There was a V. bombycina growing a site a couple miles from me last year - I may nip there and have a quick look in the day or so. Was out with the fungus group yesterday and saw a few interesting things.

Mark | Good luck Mark. I'll be checking on my site at Clumber too. It has appeared regularly for the past 3 years.
