Unless there is a very distinctive feature, it's nigh impossible to I.D. an Inocybe by photo alone.

Luckily I had an e-mail from the BMS last month to say the Autumn foray for '09 will be in Suffolk and can I come up with any good places to foray, so naturally No 1 on my list was my favourite local wood (and the crew don't leave the wood until they've identified all the Inocybe's....shhhh !!)

Someones got the message about not being able to identify things from photos (in certain cases, Inocybe being a good example !)
In fact they are almost impossible to identify from fresh material !
