| | | Psathyrella sp - Any Ideas ? I know that trying to use pictures of Psathyrella for a means of ID is rather futile in many cases but you never know, its always worth a shot, at least for a pointer in the right direction. The species pictured here was among woodchip scattered about bramble on the edge of light woodland and meadow. I haven't managed to look at it down the scope yet, ahhhh the thought, I lack a decent monograph on the genus, as do most, as they are practically non-existent apart from the rather arduous one by KITS VAN what's his name, though I see that one is planned by Fungi Europaei some time soon, by E. Arnolds. I think it is a beautiful, graceful, though neglected genus, one worth some time spent on, though I'd rather it wasn't me. Please let me know your thoughts on the taxa pictured, would be most appreciated.
Thanks

Andy | Not at all Andy. I put the image link in from the main gallery but the top link as indicated by the red cross doesn't do anything. I'll remove it. I thought maybe you had another image.
Let's hope someone can identify it for you, they are always interesting species but so often very difficult to ID

| | | Re: Psathyrella sp - Any Ideas ? Psathyrella, being group leader of the London Fungus Group I have had hundreds of them through my hands , some I nail, some I don't. I was just interested to see if anyone may recognize it before I get it under the microscope.
Many Thanks
