David | Looks like an Entoloma, possibly E. hirtipes or E. conferendum which are common, but I would not like to say more from a picture. |

| | | Re: HFRG foray - Ashford Hill Thanks for a point of focus Leif and I like the look of E. conferendum (cf. C&D). A specimen was retained by the group so no doubt confirmation will be forthcoming.

| | | Re: HFRG foray - Ashford Hill It was an excellent foray with HFRC and proves that some groups are nicely organised and can function as they should I didn't get many photographs of fungi, but the fungi pic of the day for me was the tiny orange Galerina sp. (I think ) that I found in the moss. I've also uploaded a photograph of the Violet ground Beetle that J.P found and showed to David. These two pics will be put up when accepted by mods |

David | Stuart Skeates (HFRG) came to the same conclusion with regard to the collected specimen so I am happy to name it as such. Many thanks guys.

Neil. | I am going to stick my neck out and and suggest Loreleia marchantiae because of the abundance of Sphagnum in the location where Nick found these, but I wouldn't recognize Marchantia polymorpha if it bit me on the bum. Nowhere near the quality of Nick's macro shot but this pic shows the associated vegetation
Rickenella fibula is also a possibility, just to hedge my bets!
