| | | Scleroderma verrucosum - Scaly Earthball The A-Z is lacking an image for Scleroderma verrucosum - Scaly Earthball.
I have these, assuming I have id'd correctly - please could someione let me know as I find the earthballs difficult.
Ig agreed I will put in A-Z. Or maybe someone has something better?

With that 'rhizoidal root' I would guess that it is unlikely to be anything else Richard - but not the most typical of specimens - not very scaly !!

Richard | I'll be quite honest Richard ... It's a species I often overlook and more often than not assume is Scleroderma citrinum. I must start paying more attention in the future

Can't see the underneath to see if it's got the rhizoidal root but it doesn't look like S. verrucosum - too pallid in colour !
But only spore examination would tell the whole truth !

Nick | Thanks Nick  Well at least it's another species   I will check other images I have taken over the years ... I'm sure I will have a true S. verrucosum some where.
