In this case you were clearly adopting an alternative concept of the taxa within this group of closely related species, aligning yourself more closely with the species concepts of French authors than Dutch authors.
Who's going to argue with that?

Marcel Bon clearly has a species concept where the variability lies within Lepista sordida, so any odd looking specimens would be considered as varieties of this species.
The Dutch authors, on the other hand, consider that the variability is within Lepist nuda and they have quite a narrow concept of Lepista sordida. So any non-typical specimens would be lumped into Lepista nuda.
This gives plenty of scope for confusion  and until someone comes up with DNA evidence that correlates with the variability in macroscopic characters there can be no right or wrong answers here.
