It was attached to an old tree stump in Petly Wood Nr Battle.

If it is a young one it may be worth me going back to it. Any idea how long I should wait. Is it fast or slow growing? |

It may be the start of several tiers so it's well worth returning.

| | | Re: ID request On the Ordinance Survey it is reference TQ 771 175
Head up the path from the road to this location. On the right there will be a field with horses in it. On the left side of the path, is a row of tree stumps. It was on the last tree stump before you enter the wood proper.
The pic was taken 14 May 2006, 13:53:38 just before all of the bad weather started. So maybe a couple of weeks more to wait.
There is also one at reference TQ 796 174 at the side of Cottage Lane but spotting it will be very difficult.
If you take a look at these, let me know if its still there, and what its like.
