Given these features I will stick my neck out and say it could be Yellow Stainer - Agaricus xanthodermus.

Gerry | Thanx for the pointer ...Been looking around and noticed that the Yellow Stainer - Agaricus xanthodermux did not show the same splitting cap characteristics as the one im my photo...can you help with out with this..

I wouldn't disagree with Gerry but he's a braver man than me trying to put a name to an Agaricus based on just a photo. I need a lot more information before I can begin to narrow them down.

| | | Re: Possible Agaricus.... I don't seem to see enough specimens of Agaricus to be able to build up any confidence in identifying them. I usually have to start from scratch whenever I find one.
I'm even impressed when people confidently identify field mushrooms at first glance. It always takes me a good while to convince myself it is this species and not something else.
