Pine Cone Fungus Christmas Greetings

Found close to my home in woodlands. I thought perfect for Christmas and was delighted to get this image. So will take the opportunity of sending greetings to all those kind folk who have helped me to identify my images.

Best wishes and Christmas Greetings to all WAB members, and a Happy New Foraging Year!
Kath

PS Any help in identification of this fungi, much appreciated.

Re: Pine Cone Fungus Christmas Greetings

Have to say all that I too misread the word initially, especially when Nick came back borrowing his mother's mac!! Could have set off a whole load of comments!!

HAPPY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE. Will we get the first pic of turkey carcase or even nut roast fungi???? Eek (hope not!) Enjoy!

Thanks to everyone for their comments. I really appreciate and enjoy.

Kath
