found this little fella growing inside the entrance to a rabbit hole - It is obviously a young specimin - but can anyone identify it for me. |

Evening Leek.
Could be Macrolepiota Rhacodes in adolescent stage. If you've still got it, just give it a little cut on the stipe with a knife and tell me what colour it stains. Report back

I dont still have it.
I must say I didn't think it was a shaggy parasol because i found loads of those on the same day - but they tended to be in differnet locations.
But I am a relative beginner at this - so I'll bear it in mind if I spot any more at this stage.

having looked at a few images of the shaggies at different stages - i think you might be right too - i guess it was quite young though - and not showing many of the signs yet.
