| | | Porcelain Fungus ? I would like confirmation that this is Porcelain Fungus - Oudemansiella mucida spotted high up in the boughs of a beech tree in Minley Wood, Hants last week. Has it gone very brown with age?:

| | | Re: Porcelain Fungus ? I cannot really tell from the image. I'd say though, not that i've seen any in the flesh, that It's probably not due to the colour. I could be madly wrong and the chances of that are probably high, but I was under the impression that it was pure white.

| | | Re: Porcelain Fungus ? It's one of my favourite photo subjects Nick, and all the ones I've seen previously start pallid grey then become white. They can have a faint ochraceous tinge but not to the extent of this capture, hence my puzzlement.
