| | | Re: Fungi from Lady Dixon Park The first look like Agrocybe rivulosa
The second looks like Tremella mesenterica (previously T. lutescens a washed out form of T. mesenterica)
The others look very pretty, and I can only hazard a guess at Calocybe carnea - Pink Domecap

| | | Re: Fungi from Lady Dixon Park The pink one looks very much like Micea pura or lilac bonnet or as i calkl it radish fungus. as it smells of radish/turnip. good in salads.
The yellow brain fungus is also eadible but not worthwhile |

| | | Re: Fungi from Lady Dixon Park Inedible according to Michael Jordan..Encyclopedia of fungi..
Why is it that so many books cant agree on important details like edible - inedible..as i dont eat any wild fungi i will be ok ..but think of the others that might get it wrong through reading such books..

When in doubt........... leave it out!

| | | Re: Fungi from Lady Dixon Park Thanks all for the IDs and other interesting information. I think I'll give wild fungi a miss until I know more about them. Safer just to photograph them rather than to eat them.
