Fungi from Lady Dixon Park

I took these fungi pics in late Oct 2006 during a walk in Lady Dixon Park. I hope someone can help with IDs please.

The first look like Agrocybe rivulosa
The second looks like Tremella mesenterica (previously T. lutescens a washed out form of T. mesenterica)
The others look very pretty, and I can only hazard a guess at Calocybe carnea - Pink Domecap

The pink one looks very much like Micea pura or lilac bonnet or as i calkl it radish fungus. as it smells of radish/turnip. good in salads.
The yellow brain fungus is also eadible but not worthwhile

My books all show Mycena pura as not edible/poisonous...

The Lilac bonnet in my books say its Poisonous and that it smells strongly of tobacco...

Inedible according to Michael Jordan..Encyclopedia of fungi..

Why is it that so many books cant agree on important details like edible - inedible..as i dont eat any wild fungi i will be ok ..but think of the others that might get it wrong through reading such books..

Inedible according to Jordan, and a field guide says poisonous, containing small amounts of the sweat-inducing drug, muscarine.

When in doubt........... leave it out!

That's alright David ...sometimes it takes me a while from start to finish to reply to a post ...by that time someone else has so called jumped in before me..

Thanks all for the IDs and other interesting information. I think I'll give wild fungi a miss until I know more about them. Safer just to photograph them rather than to eat them.
