Hi everyone,
Is there anyone out there eaten Shaggy ink caps, if yes, how did you cook them, I cooked them in butter but found them a little greasy, as i`m no chef, a little advice would come in handy, Cheers

You do have to cook these on the day you pick them and I've found that the less oil the better, or griddle them so that the pan has had only a touch of oil brushed over it before cooking. You're right, anything else and they end up greasy. |

Collect the younger specimens for best results too

Not exactly a healthy option I'm afraid but I am led to believe that they are quite nice dipped in batter and then deep fried. |

That sounds quite tasty actually. "Deep Fried Lawyer's Wig" conjures up a rather surreal image though |
