| | | Re: Unknown trooping woodland fungus That is an Entoloma, and probably E. rhodopolium. The clue is the pink gills, and brittle white stem. I also saw some yesterday.
It is essentially the same species as E. nidorosum but lacks the bleach smell.
Both species often grow in quite large groups, trooping but not in clumps. Both are fairly common in deciduous woods, with Hawthorn, Birch etc. |
