Found two large groups of these, in mixed (mostly deciduous) woodland, no idea on this at all...

That is an Entoloma, and probably E. rhodopolium. The clue is the pink gills, and brittle white stem. I also saw some yesterday.
It is essentially the same species as E. nidorosum but lacks the bleach smell.
Both species often grow in quite large groups, trooping but not in clumps. Both are fairly common in deciduous woods, with Hawthorn, Birch etc. |

Many thanks! I was completely stuck on this one, Entoloma is (one of the many) genus I've not spent much time studying so far... |

There are quite a few common species. | | |
