Would appreciate some help with this one found in the New Forest earlier in the week.
Growing with mainly Oak and Beech with the odd Birch here and there.
Cap dia. 5cm
Stem ht.8cm
Stem dia.2cm
No colour change.

Ignore what folks say regards edibility it is good to eat using good technique and imagination. Pores can be removed when brown and soggy leaving firm flesh. |

I had my suspicions that it might be Leccinum scabrum, nice to have confirmation. Funny how fungi turn up where you least expect to find them.
