| Re: White Mycena for ID please Did you break a stem? Although Mycena galopus does not grow on wood, M. haematopus does, and would have bled red sap on breaking the stem. They do look like slightly dry specimens. Another very common Mycena growing as per your specimens is M. arcangeliana. It has grey stems, and a cap which is variously grey, white or yellowish. Put some specimens in a small box, and leave for an hour or few, and you will smell iodoform. |
