Ink Cap id please

I believe these are ink caps, but which ones?
My guess is micaceus or silvaticus

They were growing in large numbers on a steep bank on Cotswold Limestone. Ground was heavely disturbed by cattle, and is grassland which has been clear-felled from scrub/woodland. The fungi are quite large.

I'd go with micaceus on these ones.

I would agree, C micaceus looks probable. You will more than likely find that they are growing on buried logs or tree roots. Happy foraging.
