Newby question about this mushroom photo.

I have taken this picture in my garden, under a wooden fence alongside some baby leek plants, and have no idea of the type and or toxicity.

I am new to fungi, growing some oysters on logs nearby.

Can someone guide me along which group of mushrooms this may be related too, and perhaps what you think to my quick snap.

It's a Coprinus - one of the Inkcaps.

Common Ink Cap, Coprinus atramentarius.

Like most species whose popular name includes the term 'Common', it is somewhat uncommon, at least in my experience. Common Morels are decidedly rare!

I'm pretty sure it's C. atramentarius, too... this has a slightly odd edibility. I'm told it's absolutely fine (provided you pick them young), as long as you don't have any alcohol with the meal. If you do, if induces a rather alarming gastric upset. I've not dared try one yet, even without the white wine sauce...
