A Saturday Adventure....

Hello to everyone,

I've been scanning through the www trying to find tips and hints for fungi hunting! I intend to take a group of friends fungi hunting at the weekend and was hoping that some of you may be able to advise me on good places to go, what to look out for and how to make the most of the adventure. We are all keen on the outdoors and so it’s a great excuse to get out into the countryside for some fresh air and glorious autumnal sites. However, none of us have ever been out and about with the intention of seeking out fungi.

Any advice you may have for me would be super. Ideally we'd quite like to have some edible varieties at the end of the day but I realise that this may be a little hopeful! The adventure will be enough of a treat!

We are based in the West Midlands but have wheels and are willing to travel!
