Stem 50mm, not swollen at end
Smell none
Gills not brittle
Stem tough but splits

The type of veil on the cap and stem rules out Inocybe for this one.

I'd suggest Psathyrella but these are difficult to key out without information on the microscopic characters.

Thanks for steering me onto the correct genus, Ken.

Having now checked in 'Jordan's' I find there is an image that resembles the above pic (although the sp. is v rare). I had only looked in 'Phillips'
