Possble Boletus radicans

Found this large chap under a Oak .
It was 6 inches across the cap ..and weighed in at just over 1lb..When cut it in half the stem and cap went pale blue then returning to clay white. T
he pores are small and lemon bruising blue when touched.

with all this imformation im coming up with a Boletus radicans ..

Please confirm ..

You do find some impressive specimens!

With small yellow pores and no reticulum on the stem, pale ochre-brown cap with no trace of pink, and growing under oak I think you are spot on with Boletus radicans, which should only have a very weak or nil blueing of the flesh on cutting.

Its one of the biggest ones ive seen of this type..there was nothing else around so it stuck out like a sore thumb.
