More Lichens

Here's a few more lichens that I'd like assistance with ID. So when Alan returns of if anyone else can assist I'd be grateful

The first was taken on a tree trunk at Blacktoft Sands RSPB and I thought it may be Xanthoria parietina




The second, another yellow one was taken on a rock at the coast at Craster, Northumberland possibly Xanthoria ectanoides




The third was again at Craster underwater in a rock pool and I haven't a clue what this could be




The fourth was taken on a tree trunk in Pennington Flash CP, Gtr Manchester, possibly a Parmelia sp.

Hi Black

1. Xanthoria parietina, as you suggest.

2. Xanthoria ectanoides, as you suggest.

3. I am baffled too. It doesn't look like any of the Caloplaca species that grow low down on the shore and as it is actually underwater, I suspect that it is one of the encrusting red seaweeds, not a lichen.

4. I'm not sure about this - the surface features are not quite clear. My first thought had been Flavoparmelia caperata, but it seems it might have pseudocyphellae, which would point to Parmelia sulcata. If the surface features are just wrinkles, then I would still favour Flavoparmelia. If you have a closer view it would help.
