Another snapshot: not much change, except in location...

Agaricus arvensis: Hampstead Heath
Agaricus augustus: Exeter graveyard (early, but am farly sure: strong bitter almond smell)
Agaricus campestris: Devon, several locations
Agaricus xanthodermus: Devon, several locations
Grifola frondosa: Exeter, pub garden
Hypholoma fasiculare: Devon, several locations
Inocybe patouillardii: Hampstead Heath
Marasimus oreades: Various locations, London and Devon
Phallus impudicus: Bovey Woods, Devon
Pluteus cervinus: Bovey Woods, Devon
Russula aeruginea: Hampstead
Russula atropurpurea: Bovey Woods, Devon
Russula cyanoxantha: Bovey Woods, Devon
Suillus grevillei: Bovey Woods, Devon (early, but under larch!)
Xerocomus chrysenteron: Bovey Woods, Devon
Xerocomus porosporus: Bovey Woods, Devon

(Again - several species overlooked, and probably some forgotten: this is all I could spot while walking along with others not quite so interested in fungi...)

Would you believe I've only been looking at the path/road edges in the past month .... Ask Les ... he must be getting bored now ... I think not

There is just so much about in so many areas at Clumber right now. Last year at this time I only saw about 20 species plus the 'find anywhere' stuff. This past month has seen well over 100 different species ... and the thing is ... I've not been to Longshaw for a month ... and there's more species there!!

I'm hoping to organise something in addition to the Clumber / Longshaw forays ... which are excellent and led by Ken Rowlands and Neil Barden ... Both true experts.

Hopefully I'll post something soon about a WAB foray.

Back to the thread .. It looks like many areas are showing signs of early species and several less common ones too.

Back to WAB I reckon we have one of the best interactive fungi resources in the UK.. anyone doubt this??
