Re: ID please

Cor blimey, right firstly did you upload your pic to the forum images gallery? If yes then look for the row entitled BBcode underneath the pic and copy all of the text in the white box in the BBcode row, copy it using ctrl and C and paste the code into your post with crtl V and that should do it

Re: ID please

Looking at your pic in unidentified gallery its one of the Horsetails, probably Field Horsetail Equisetum arvense. These are primitive plants.

Re: ID please

Thanks Gill
The image is in my gallery. I tried to follow the instructions on the site (video presentation).
I've looked at the image and cannot 'BBode' there are 2 boxes 'direct link' and 'forum image'.
The video advice is
forum image code - right click - copy - back(to message) - click on position in message - right click - paste - at bottom of text click 'submit new thread'
I think that's what I did - have I done it wrong or misunderstood the instruction which are given a bit quickly.

Re: ID please

I fear that probably the "select all" instruction was executed a bit off target

The bbcode box has been changed to the more user friendly "Forum image code", so you should be copying all the text that's in that box. You can do that in any way that your comfortable with.
You then go and start your new thread, and when ready, paste the info you copied.
I'm not quite sure how you managed to get all that info!

Re: ID please

For me that's Equisetum sylvaticum - Wood Horsetail. Equisetum arvense has cones on pale unbranched stems, not green branched ones.
