Question Fungus?
I am trying to identify what looks like a white 'hairy' mould growing out of or on rounded woody excrescences on a dead hawthorn tree in the local nature reserve in Cheshire. Apparently, it looked purple last week. The juice of the white 'hair' stains purple. I took some photos if anyone is willing to receive them and help with identification. Thanks.
