It's fascinating reading about slime moulds. I feel a bit queasy every time I look at my photo though!
I just discovered WAB a couple of days ago, but it has become a favourite of mine already.

the 1° (10 april 2005) and 4° (16 april 2005) images are on a died beech log,
the 2° (18 april 2005) and 3° (19 april 2005) images on died poplar log. |

This was taken in June 2006 at the same place - a slightly more matured specimen showing much more silvery. |
