There seems to have been masses of berries this year: rowan, sloes, hawthorn, pyracantha and I've always thought that that was an indication of a harsh winter ahead - or is that just an old wives tale?

The met office don't have any warnings out as yet but some of the weather models are showing possible high rain rates from the Scottish borders south to the south Midlands for Tuesday. They seem fairly high and this is mostly due to Tropical Storm Grace (ex) and it's warm wet air approaching from the south west. Hopefully there wont be any major floods anywhere but looks like a day for umbrellas in those areas.

I'm looking at possibly getting some kind of digital weather forecast station type thing. One of the type with a sensor that goes outside and a screen inside with all the information about temperature, humidity etc.

There seems to be a huge selection available, priced from about £30.00 to £235.00:eek: I just don't know where to start, so has anyone got any recommendations?

I'm not looking for anything too complex, or too expensive, and preferably something that's easy to set up and doesn't absolutely eat batteries.:)
