Which Cicadellid bug?

It was good to see these as active as they were. I'm sure they'll be a first for me - it does look pretty distinctive, though it does look similar to Ribautiana spp.

Any help appreciated. Thanks for looking!
Take care,

Hi.

I've got a birthday in December and with Christmas as well I'm already being asked what I want as a present.

Since getting into bees I've really fancied a good reference book on bees (worldwide or just UK) - not just bumbles or social bees... but everything. Does such a book exist? It doesn't have to be just an ID book, I'm really looking for something that tells me all sorts of things - nesting behaviour, flowers they like, loads of great photos, etc etc.

I've already got Bees of Surrey (which is excellent) but I'd be really interested to hear what your favourite bee books are.

Cheers

This afternoon I managed to get a side-on shot of the barkfly I posted about 10 days ago (Jason G. had requested side view), see: http://www.wildaboutbritain.co.uk/fo...d-barkfly.html

Well I can't guarantee it's exactly the same individual :), only that it was on the fence right next to the gate where I photographed the last one. I also have a dorsal shot of this second individual which is pretty much indistinguishable from the first one and I have no doubts about it being the same species. For convenience I've also shown the previous image below:

I've been doing a bit of barkfly hunting today. :)

I think this second one is a nymph with its stubby little wings.

While photographing the 2nd barkly I spotted the tiniest barkfly I have seen, less than 1mm in length. Am I right in thinking that the tiny eyes in comparison with its head and lack of wings make this Liposcelididae?
