Should UK switch to driving on the right side?

Driving on the left is one of those great British traditions that no one gives any consideration to .... we've always done it this way so why should we change now?
There are several good reasons but most notably: (a) there's a lot of tourist trade lost because of driving on the left; (b) a good number of road accidents are caused by drivers not adjusting to changes of driving side.
It would be a particularly good project to indulge in at the momentr with massive unemployment and depression of industry. What's needed is a good ten year project requiring workers, production and innovation. Can't think of anything better?!

Still, with the continuing creeping Americanisation it's only a matter of time.

I always make a big point of asking loudly for a cake, a biscuit or chips, in places showing 'muffins', 'cookies' and 'french fries', saying they may be called that in the U.S., but we're in the U.K.!

I have driven on the right hand-side for 15 years to be honest its no different than driving on the left I still have a 20 year old left hand drive which I take out occasionally it is a little awkward to pay tolls or overtake cars here but not unduly.I have been stopped in the past by the Gendarmes because my Irish Wolfhound cross was sat in the passenger seat and they thought it was driving but I have no difficulty swapping sides on my infrequent trips to the UK
I read somewhere that humans naturally duck to the left which may help British drivers
Sweden a few years back changed sides overnight
