I'm just so glad I've been veggie these past 20 years, so a) I don't fund animal abuse and slaughter and b) I don't live in fear of the next "meat" food scandal.

I no longer eat meat, poultry or fish of any description. I don't drink milk, eat butter, cheese or eggs from any source exept vegan, either I can't after seeing all those press cuttings at AfA

Somehow, the thought of people playing football with live turkeys, storing dead turkeys outside uncovered, and all the other reports, plus the fact that the amiable old farmer surrounded by happy turkeys image is rather destroyed by the information that he is importing them from somewhere else, his turkeys have always been interfered with in some way like butter shoved under the skins and all sorts of handling by people whose hygiene standards I don't know, and also, he's always been quite irritating, so what more excuse do I need?

And did you see the way the clean-up operation was conducted The dropping of infected turkeys on the ground was totally unacceptable. As for the employees, I wouldn't work in one of those places for a million £/hour Why should I feel sorry for them?????
