I'm only stepping outside the box and objectively observing what I see as reality. It's not sufficient to only learn from what we know has developed on planet Earth during the miniscule timeframe of human life.
John Lennon (Beatle) said something like: "Life is what happens while we make plans".

John Lennon (Beatle) said something like: "Life is what happens while we make plans". | I'm not really sure why you keep bringing this up when you regularly express that you're not really bothered what happens.

I'm responding to Wild-Woman's post and direct question to me.

| | | Re: Thinking outside the box of Britain.... Someone on this forum (talking about songbirds I think) once said something like that we should preserve the species that we have because they are an important part of their ecosystem, possibly with an importance that we do not understand. I think this applies to the debate on this thread. I think we (the conscious that is) need to stop playing God and realise the damage that we are causing this planet. Stop introducing aliens, try and revert any damage that we have done. Stop thinking that this is our playground and have a little more respect for the other species that some of us think it's OK to wipe out.
Encourage debate all you want RR, but here is nothing that will sway my opinion on this matter.

C) - If you prefer, you don't have to contribute to this thread. | No, indeed this will be my last post beacuse and I don't mean to be rude this is ground already covered with you elsewhere on other threads all these points put to you before, but you make it abundantly clear (on those threads and this one) that you're not really bothered so I don't really see the point of going over it all again.
There are valid reasons to be concerned its about preserving biodiversity its about preserving the ability of ecosystems and indeed the planet to repair itself and this has been explained before at least I thought it had.
You are of course entitled to your opinion as we all are but I don't really know why you want to discuss the subject if its not something you are bothered about either way.

I'm not even particularly wanting to encourage debate but rather just to share views and respond/interact with other WABers.
