| | | Re: is spring coming? YES. at long last here in the midlands. trees are sprouting,bluebells are begining to show,also daffs. willow catkins are now open, and pussy willows are just bursting. But the birds are going mad the volume of birdsong today in my local woods was deafening!! And to prove it all a pickie of THE epitomy of spring .

| | | Re: is spring coming? Spring is in the air!! I saw 2 common green frogs clinging to each other yesterday, the lower female looked fit to burst, coupled with a smaller frog piggy-backing on top. I moved them from the front path to the back garden near the pond, to stop the cats having a tasty bite to eat, interfering I know, but it had to be done.
There are buds and small leaves on the shrubs and the birds are looking at potential nest sites and claiming their territories. Happy days, bring on spring!! |

Saw a large patch of Winter Heliotrope in bloom today.
The Marsh Marigold in my pond is flowering again - that's three times in a year....... |
