I had a thrush eating the sweetbox berries last winter but nothing seems to have touched them this time. If it stays like that I shall pot them up, I have grown them from seed before and they take very easily (but are also very slow growing).
Wild primroses are out in the woods now. |

My first butterfly of the year and first of the spring    
A Red Admiral I think was on the back door when I got back from doing a job this morning and flew off so thought I had lost the chance of a pic 
Then noticed him on one of the shrubs as I topped up the water baths for the birds.
So zoomed up stairs and grabbed my camera and took these on P setting as I wanted a record of it so not the best quality.

Thats fantastic Chris, Lovely pictures, we found a bush full of sunning Ladybirds today, I tried to photograph them but my camera is not good enough to see much. |

I get that a lot when my camera wont take the picture I want 
Im surprised I managed to get the pix as usually I raise the camera up all set for the perfect picture and thats when the subject vanishes
So out of a total of 14 shots I get 4 keeps.
