Please HELP with my study of pollution!

Hi I am a student at Bournemouth University, I am currently studying Interactive Media Production and I am planning to develop a system that raises awareness of pollution.

As there are already more persons than you can shake a stick at going on about 'pollution', do you think there is any need for 'a system'?

I get where you are coming from! Where I aim to provide a visual and interactive way of displaying pollution in the UK, people can actually see all the problems in front of them.

Hopefully this effect will have much more of an impact than people ranting.

Survery done. It would be interesting to see the changes in pollution levels - are things improving or getting worse and which companies/local governments are actively reducing pollution and which aren't.

Dan,
I trust that you are already aware of the interactive maps provided by the Environment Agency and SEPA that allow one to identify potential polluters, and also environmental quality (usually on separate maps I think). It might be rather difficult to do better than what is already available.
Presumably you realise that most (chemical) pollution is effectively invisible, whilst one might, in a few cases, be able to see the effects of it most often there is little or nothing to see. Often a polluted area can be identified by the lack of things inhabiting the area, although this could also happen for other reasons.
Good luck in your quest, I think that it is difficult to get people to think about what they cannot see, and consequently have great diffculty understanding it.
