laws change eeyore we used to kick the dog out with the cat at one time and the poop scoop was unheard of
I don't think it is a total over reaction at all I did not suggest a total ban on all dogs coz they may or may not be a menace to others
I suggested designated dog walking areas separate from the public's so people can enjoy the countryside without the worry of being set upon by dogs or sitting in what they leave behind
And I was also trying to make the point if you were forced to use a dog park would it be still treated the same way as the rest of the countryside......I think not

HaHa better one, went to put my dogs dirt in the bins provided and right next to the was a big poo, you would think they would have put it in the bin but no left it where it was.

The problem I have with the poo bins is holding the dog while it poos in the bin.

Why not carry a small trowel and just bury the poo in a suitable spot? It would degrade naturally and provide plant sustenance.

Certainly legal with human waste but is it with dog faeces? I was pondering this the other day.

not really a good idea the build of dog poo along verges etc changes the chemical balance of the soil and will effect the species of plant growing there in time, a problem faced on urban heath sites where invasive weeds start to grow and begin to encroach upon the heather

I am right there with you on this!!!
I am NOT a dog owner or lover!
Their owners should clean up responsibly after them & also abide by lead laws wherever they may apply!
Dogs loose amongst the wildlife anger me something chronic!!!!!!!!!!

Something needs to be done!
I remember passing a sign proclaiming "Clean it up: Maximum fine £500" and then totting up the mess on the quite short distance home...it came to thousands and thousands of pounds....would be a good way to reduce taxation...if only.....it's no use having laws that are not and perhaps cannot be enforced.
