I would get the address and report them to the council as this is an offence and carries a hefty fine..

Yes it does, but I can't quote it to you at the moment. Something along the lines of it's the owner's responsibility and not having the means at hand to dispose of it does not preclude them from responsibility or prosecution as a reason for defence.

The path I walk my dog has plenty of signs asking people to clean up after their dog and to be honest generally people are very good at doing so. You get the odd idiot who leaves the bag tied to a fence??? Why do they go to so much trouble to tie it to a fence when they could simply put it in a bin???

Worse than the bag abandoners are people who don't do anything about it at all. In the last couple of weeks the path has been covered with ice and snow and the amount of dog waste along the path is seriously disgusting. I passed one guy who just kicked some snow over his dogs business and he went right off when I suggested he sort it out. It didn't take him long to pick it up when he realised I wasn't joking but the brass neck of the guy to do it in the first place was outrageous.

When will these lazy people will learn that it's there responsibility to clean up after their dogs?

Just watched someone letting their dog defecate in a neighbours garden. Now sitting here with the curtains open hoping they pass the other way. Coat and shoes at the ready. Fingers crossed.

They haven't returned and I've closed the curtains now. I had a good look at the dog and a reasonable look at the dog walker so it's not over yet. I'll probably see them again.

Sorry to hear about your Poo dilema.
When I feed my dog Ben I always put a couple of sandwich bags in his feed then when he goes for a poop, Hey Presto ! it comes out ready bagged up so you can easily secreate it in your pocket, then deposit the little parcel in the next available bin.

I think the country Code says take your litter home. When we used to camp at a site in Filey, [YORKS.] we would head for the town along the top of the cliffs, along the old path down what we would call dog *sht* alley, and yes the trees on both sides of the track were festooned with carrier bags containing dog poo.
