Plenty of geese flying over, heading for 'The Backwaters' of Essex.
Hundreds of craneflies too, though this is more autumn than winter.

The dogs have started trailing mud into the kitchen when they've been out in the garden .

The leaves on the line of Rowans on the other side of my garden fence have turned through yellow to orange.

I would say autumn has only just started, certainly here anyway.
Autumn is a wonderful time of year, so can we not think about winter just yet?

I'd love to think about Autumn rather than winter, but with our first snow up on the Cairngorms last weekend, it's a bit tricky!
Hopefully it'll be a month or two before we get any more, and we get a chance to enjoy Autumn.
