Yes, there have been a lot of large flies about. We still have a lot of odd flowers including roses and Berberis; even a few nasturtiums sheltered from the early frosts apparently. Meanwhile the heavy wind over the weekend has at last cleared all the leaves off the trees!

I am not so sure about mild,heavy rain gale force winds.I drove to work behind
a police car they would jump out and we would shift fallen trees,they also hit
the deep floodwater first soaking wet but still in good humour policemen as they used to be,I take my hat off to them
